Texans lose Cushing for season? |? Crushing loss

It?s bye week for the Jaguars, which means that owner Shahid Khan has gone to London to promote the launch of the the team?s four-year, once-per-year visit to Wembley Stadium, which commences in 2013.

Peter King of SI.com mentioned in this week?s Monday Morning Quarterback that, among other things, Khan and NFL Chief Marketing Officer Mark Waller will announce on Thursday the team that the Jags will play next October in London.

The options at this point are down to seven, since the Jags won?t know which AFC East team it will host until the final standings from 2012 have been determined.? The choices, based on the scheduling formula for 2013, are the Texans, Colts, Titans, Chargers, Chiefs, Cardinals, and 49ers.

Likely due to the competitive realities of annual home-and-home series, the NFL doesn?t export games involving teams from the same division.? So it?s more likely that the opponent will be the Chargers, Chiefs, Cardinals, or 49ers.

Both San Diego and San Francisco have played a regular-season game in London.? Seven years ago, the Cardinals and 49ers played a regular-season game in Mexico.

So it only would be fair for the Chiefs to get a turn playing a game in a place other than the United States.
