Mazda 6 sedan and wagon: live shots from Sydney

Of course, you?ve seen the all-new Mazda 6?before ? first the sedan in Moscow, then the estate in Paris ? but here are the two stylish D-segmenters together in a single venue, making their first Australian showing at AIMS 2012 in Sydney.

Buyers will be able to choose between 2.2 litre SkyActiv-D diesel (175 hp, 420 Nm) and 2.5 litre SkyActiv-G petrol (190 hp, 250 Nm) engines when the car hits showrooms down under in December. There?s stop-start, i-ACTIVSENSE safety aids and i-ELOOP regenerative braking. A six-speed auto is the only gearbox option, while wheels are either 17s or 19s depending on trim levels ? details of which, along with pricing, will surface?closer to launch.

On the other end of the Mazda stand sits the facelifted CX-9, which made its world debut here.
